So on September 27th within the NBL Principles meeting they also had a meeting involving the SCL Principles to decide how the league realignments would look.
Team sports like football had their leagues realigned for the 2018 – 2019. Those are listed below.
But other sports like Cross Country & track are still up in the air.
Here is what was said about Cross Country with no mention of Track but I think they will also be asking the coaches about it as well.
“Cross country: It is possible to have all 12 teams involved in a schedule that includes either or both dual- and tri-meets. What do the coaches recommend? Dual or tri meets? One or two divisions? If two divisions, what do they recommend?”
The other decision was to go back to the old league names of NBL I and NBL II instead of the current NBL and SCL.
Athletic directors unanimously supported the NBL I and NBL II, which was used before the SCL became a separate league in the 1970’s.
My notes The NBL II would change it’s name to the Sonoma County League in 1972.

If you missed it here was my story about “History of Redwood Empire track leagues”
Other stories about new alignments
August: New thoughts on new league alignments
May: New alignment: What might it look like?
As a reminder Casa Grande,, Petaluma and Sonoma Valley are being put into a new league with American Canyon, Justin-Siena, Napa and Vintage.
I am planning on covering this league on my site with NBL I and NBL II and CMC.
So just for fun I’d love to share some of your ideas of how our Cross Country & Track leagues should look.
Email them to me at [email protected]
I did a 5 second look at them back in May and thought it might come out like this, below, but what are your thoughts. One big league or one league (NBL I) with top teams and the rest in NBL II.
