Questions about the SCL Finals Times

Yes, adjustments are in the works.

As soon as I saw the times I contacted the SCL to try to get an explanation.

Of all events the times the girls 100 stood out even more than the others.
As you know, Santa Rosa’s Kirsten Carter recently became the first girl in Empire history to crack the 12 second barrier. Running under 13 is amazing in itself.

So when the SCL finals times came out with three girls under 12, two breaking the All time Empire record and one tying it, major red flags went up.
Now the wind reading was a huge +4.4 but that only causes a runner to go about .28 seconds faster than with 0 wind.
You can watch the race here

Section 1 Finals Wind: 4.4
  1 Bell, Courtney 9 Petaluma 13.29 11.84 10
  2 Marsden, Natasha 11 Healdsburg 13.48 11.94 8
  3 Leoni, Camille 12 Petaluma 13.45 11.99 6
  4 Tait, Aubrianna 12 El Molino 13.38 12.03 4
  5 Dahlen, Gabrielle 11 Analy 13.53 12.31 2
  6 Dibene, Alexis 11 Analy 13.55 12.33 1
  7 Miller, Kyana 12 Elsie Allen 13.85 12.35
  8 Girish, Gigi 11 Sonoma Valley 13.91 12.58

Now the timing system used has a video shots of the finish so we do know the order is correct and that the distance between these girls is correct.
It is now believed that the start time must have glitched.
First off no one should blame the girls in the race. I have heard that many of them could not believe the times as well.

I am still working things out to try and get the best reasonable times for historical purposes.
My best hope is that the SCL had official hand timers as backups but I have not been able to get an answer on that yet.
I have been told by a Healdsburg coach that she hand timed Marsden at the finals in 12.67 which would be about 12.91 as FAT.

Not confirmed, but I believe the SCL is entering these times as seeding for the NCS Redwood meet.
