Healdsburg sophomore Gabrielle Peterson competing against some of the best runners in the state turned in an 18:29 5k time to move to =21st All-Time in the Redwood Empire for a 5K distance, placing 28th in the seeded race.
Maria Carrillo is loaded with fast sophomores as well with Aimee Armstrong (18:52) and Talia Leano (18:53) both placing in the top 50 in the seeded race and helping the Puma’s to the fastest team time at Stanford in Empire history since Stanford started using this 5K course in 2008.
Carrillo also had the 4th Sydnie Rivas (19:37) and 6th Jasmin Hirth (19:51) times by Empire runners today.
Casa Grande’s Siena Wigert had the 5th best time of the day placing 21st in divison III race in 19:46.
Cardinal Newman’s Noel Clark was the next fastest placing 46th in division IV in 20:06.
